  3. NautilusCD, The One CD for your multimedia computing, provides hundreds of
  4. megabytes of new information and resources for you and your computer
  5. every month.  NautilusCD presents multimedia elements to use
  6. and enjoy in every department; to take full advantage of them, your
  7. computer will need the following system configuration:

  9. System Requirements
  10.   - Multimedia PC or equivalent PC*
  11.     - 4 megabytes of RAM
  12.     - 256 Colors
  13.     - Windows 3.1 or later
  14.     - Recommended: Modem, external speakers, and 8 megabytes of RAM
  15.  
  16. * A standard MPC system configuration includes a 386SX (or compatible),
  17. 2 megabytes RAM, floppy and hard drive, CD-ROM with CD DA outputs,
  18. audio: 8-bit ADC, DAC, music synthesizer, on-board analog mixing;
  19. video: VGA 640x480, 16-color adapter and monitor; mouse.

  21. NautilusCD Magazine is ready for you to explore.  Page through articles
  22. and tutorials filled with information plus music, sounds, photos, movies,
  23. software and narratives that make each story come alive!

  25. Getting Started with NautilusCD
  26. The NautilusCD Magazine will run directly from the CD-ROM; however, you
  27. must run the Setup application to install Startup and other necessary files
  28. to your hard drive. This procedure will create a NautilusCD directory on 
  29. your system including the NautilusCD Startup and other applications. Note
  30. you do not have to reinstall with each monthly NautilusCD disc; we will
  31. alert you to upgrades as needed.

  33. Installing NautilusCD
  34. 1. Insert the NautilusCD disc into your CD-ROM drive.
  35. 2. From Windows 3.1 (or later), install NautilusCD to your hard drive:
  36.     - Using Program Manager, choose the RUN command from the File menu.
  37.     - Enter <D>:\SETUP (replacing <D> with the letter of your CD ROM drive).

  39. 3. Then follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

  42. Running NautilusCD  
  43. 1.  Be sure the disc is in the CD-ROM drive.
  44. 2.  From Program Manager, double click NautilusCD Startup.
  45. 3.  Select the NautilusCD Magazine image displayed on the left of the
  46.     Startup window to open the magazine. If a magazine image is not visible,
  47.     select Preferences from the Tools Palette on the right and enter the
  48.     letter of your CD-ROM drive.

  50. Using NautilusCD
  51. Open the NautilusCD Magazine. On the cover you'll find a video message from
  52. the NautilusCD Team. Then from the next page--the Table of Contents--you
  53. can select any of the five departments or two services of NautilusCD
  54. Magazine, or preview the feature.

  58. in the NautilusCD Magazine, or select the NautilusCD Help file (NAUTCD.HLP).
